Description
West Chester Township Police Department is seeking qualified candidates to perform the duties of Police Technician – Body Worn Camera Coordinator. The Body-Worn Camera Coordinator is responsible for administering all aspects of the department’s body worn camera program. Duties include:
- Hardware, software, and video evidence management
- Fulfilling public record requests and court ordered retentions
- Audio/video redactions
- Training department members on the system
- Establishing and maintain procedures for:
- Security, storage, and maintenance of data and recordings
- Accessing data and recordings
- Logging or auditing access
- Transferring, downloading, tagging, and marking events
- Documented review of recordings
- Ensuring the program complies with the Ohio Collaborative Law Enforcement Agency Certification requirements
- Additional duties not listed
Candidate must be an effective communicator, possess excellent organizational and customer service skills, be well-organized, and be detail oriented to handle multiple projects within prescribed timelines.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Proficient knowledge of basic computing skills
- History of working with sensitive material and maintaining confidentiality
- Understanding of Ohio’s public records law
- Knowledge of Ohio Collaborative Law Enforcement Agency Certification and the Ohio Collaborative Community-Police Advisory Board and its standards
- Prior experience in local government
