General Description

 

Under direct supervision, assigned daily work. Completes and reviews records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean- up activities. Job may require moderate to heavy lifting. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment. Upholds all company expectations for Safety, Health, and Environmental standards, policies, and procedures.

 

Specific Description – Production Technician I

 

The purpose of the Dryer Technician I assignment is to Load/Operate/Unload Henkel Centrifuge, Rotating Dryer, and the Screening of final products. Tasks include but are not limited to:

 

  • Transporting intermediate product via industrial powered fork lifts to various buildings.
  • Follow detailed operating procedures/processes for loading product into specific equipment
  • Wear a chemical suit with a respirator to load/unload rotary dryers
  • Perform general math functions (conversions lb.>kg.)
  • Taking readings of rotary dryers
  • Taking samples at specific requirements intervals
  • Functionally operate weighing equipment
  • Complete labeling of product
  • Complete batch records
  • Clean Building and Equipment to standards
  • 5S daily
  • Drain knock out pots
  • Housekeeping
  • Help stage drums on occasion for operation support
  • Weigh drums using metric system
  • Work with Distributed Control System (DCS)
  • Clean equipment preparing for new campaign (May require confined space entry)

 

Must be able to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, elevated walkways, lift 50 lbs. single person – 80 lbs. w/two persons, walk, stand, stoop for long periods of time, work in tight congested areas to include awkward positions.

 

Work Schedule – Production Technician I

 

The work schedule is a Rotation Shift Schedule working 12 hour shifts with rotating 1-month days, 1-month nights. Alternating week work hours are 36 hrs. and 48 hrs. days 7:00am > 7:00pm / nights 7:00pm to 7:00am

Job Requirements

•High School Diploma
•Flexible work schedule to support the 12 hour Rotation Shift Schedule
•Reliable transportation
•2- years of experience in an industrial setting
•Basic computer skills
•Math skills, addition, multiplication, division, basic problem solving
•Capable of working in dusty, hot/cold conditions at times
•Ability to use pallet jacks and drum carts
