Description
Performs production tests on units in process, basic tests on assembled units, failure analysis tests on malfunctioning product and final tests prior to product shipment. • Detects and isolates routine faults in circuit performance and defective or malfunctioning components.
Level 1
Adjusts realigns and re-calibrates test equipment to required specifications. • May assist in troubleshooting, repairing, and resolving technical problems on equipment or components. Prior experience in reading and applying information from wiring lists, wiring schematics, process sheets and procedures. • Basic soldering skills and ability to work with small hand/crimp tools. • Basic computer skills; ability to open programs and input data. • High school diploma or GED • 1-5 years’ experience or equivalent
Level 2
- Must have a solid background with CSZ and/or WNA equipment or a comparative background of work experience.
- Has knowledge of programming controllers, and knowledge of compressors, valves, piping, refrigerants, and fluids.
- Evacuation and charging procedures and ability to perform these tasks. Calibration and test of controls and formally document customer information.
- Analyze test documentation and procedures for conformance.

- Must be competent in using vacuum pump, vacuum gauge, reclaim machine, manifold gauge, calibrator, anemometers, sound meter, etc. to troubleshoot electrical and refrigeration problems.
- Be knowledgeable of all components used and can tune valves to meet unit specifications.
- Be proficient using Excel, Outlook, and Word effectively as required in data acquisition and document generation.
- Train production employees on any RFT found at test demonstrating proper assembly method.
- Must have the ability to program and troubleshoot all standard controls and the competency to analyze test data on a pass/fail basis.
- Prior experience in reading and applying information from wiring lists, wiring schematics, process sheets and procedures.

- 1-5 years’ experience or equivalent on the job training experience in a testing role.
- Understanding of electrical safety.
- Ability to learn on the job training skills as it relates to various electronic test equipment.
- Basic understanding of electronic theory and ability to interpret results
- Ability to work overtime and weekends, as needed.
Level 3

• This position requires that employee has met all Level (1&2) requirements and has knowledge of all standard products including ZP, MC3, MCB-1.2 and VTS.
• Must demonstrate the ability to communicate with sales and engineering to address issues with documents and design. Along with the ability to propose engineering or manufacturing fixes for issues during testing.
• This level employee is a self-directed and self-starter, able to assist engineering and service on technical issues and help make improvements. • High school diploma or GED • 1-5 years’ experience or equivalent on the job training experience in a testing role. • It is a requirement that a level one test technician must have their "EPA 608 Universal Certification"
