Saw Operator – 3rd Shift

POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides the set- up, operation and maintenance of the Python X and plans for the efficient operation of the Python.  Ability to fulfill general Warehouse and Processor duties as assigned or needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIILTIES:

•    Measure stock lengths
•    Load and unload material from the machine
•    Package complete jobs for shipment
•    Operate overhead cranes, forklift, and warehousing
•    Load and manipulate programs where necessary
•    Measure parts with tape, and/or square
•    Read prints or digital files to ensure part conforms to customer’s design
•    Inspect and change consumables to ensure optimal cut quality
•    Perform daily Python preventative maintenance and accurately fill out daily Python inspection log
•    General maintenance and cleaning of Python as assigned
•    Put away all drops daily
•    Maintain a safe and efficient work area.
•    Maintain organization of consumables and machine specific tooling
•    Good attendance is an essential function of this job.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to work as a team member without close supervision to meet Company and personal goals.
• Capable of reading a tape measure, calipers, and orders.
• Good reading, writing and math skills as measured by a pre-employment test.
• Ability to meet physical demands of position which are required 95% of the work day (i.e. lifting up to 50 lbs independently, pushing, pulling, standing, climbing).
