Security Officer Job Description

Aegis Protective Services has immediate openings for Security Officers in the Tri-State Region!

Basic Responsibilities Include (may or may not include every duty – many duties are client/contract specific):

• Maintain a professional and positive image that includes greeting customers, visitors, and employees in a polite and friendly manner.
• Oversee access control continually as outlined in the post orders. May involve camera monitoring & other equipment use.
• Control of entrances and movement of pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
• Establish working relationships with everyone frequenting the building/property.
• Will be required to complete all documentation related to job assignment.

 Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma and/or equivalent (GED) – must be at least 18 years of age
• Proven customer service experience
• Any offer of employment is conditional upon the successful completion of a background investigation & must meet state licensing requirements
• Prior security experiences welcomed

 Skills:

• Outgoing personality and ability to communicate with anyone
• Strong customer service skills
• Results-oriented focus, handling multiple priorities simultaneously
• Ability to work with others within a team
• Strong oral and written communications skills
• Able to complete tasks in a timely manner

 Job Types: Full-time and Part-time Shifts are Available

 Schedule: Varies based on client account.  Our services are provided 24/7 to most clients.  We’re not a M-F, 8-5 company.

 Work Location: Multiple Locations throughout the Tri-State Region – many locations ARE on bus lines.

 Pay:   Compensation will vary based on the client contract signed.
