Server – Part-Time

If so, you could be the next Part-Time Server at Chesterwood Village in West Chester, OH.

Up To $13.50 Per Hour

As a Part-Time Server you may even may be able to combine this position with another part-time dietary position to acquire full-time hours.

You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Taking food and drink orders accurately with a positive attitude
• Entering food orders into tablets and/or POS system for transmittal to kitchen staff
• Engaging with residents and guests in a friendly manner
• Demonstrating knowledge of the menu with the ability to make suggestions
• Setting tables, polishing glasses, folding napkins and replenishing condiments
• Attending pre-shift and general meetings to update knowledge of special offers and stock-related issues, and to discuss service and product matters
• Assisting management and hosts to meet, greet and seat residents and guests
• Introducing self to residents and guests and informing them of special offers and stock shortages before they select items off the menu
• Ensuring beverages are served swiftly and replenished continuously
• Following up on food and beverage orders with back of house (BOH)
• Checking on guests to determine level of satisfaction with product and overall experience while providing management with feedback
• Greeting and thanking residents and guests in a friendly manner
• Performing closing duties including but not limited to sweeping, vacuuming, and preparing linens for collection by laundry service
• Ensuring patrons are enjoying their meals and acting immediately to correct any problems
• Helping food preparation staff when necessary
• Cleaning work areas and equipment during and immediately after meal preparation.
• Serving according to established practice and regulatory inspection requirements
• Performing other duties when requested which relate to the success of Hillandale Family of Communities and the quality of care and service to the residents, guests, and staff

You’ll Need To Have:

• A positive attitude and passion for working with the population we serve
• High School diploma preferred
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Prior food service / dietary experience, preferably in a long-term care setting preferred
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
• The Ability to express thoughts, ideas and information clearly
• History of exemplary customer service skills
• Solid work history with excellent attendance and punctuality
• History of demonstrating respect to others in the workplace even in stressful situations
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work scheduled weekends and holidays
• Reliable Transportation
