Sports Intern – Spring 2024

Job Description:

The Operations Intern will support all our company activities that include youth baseball tournaments, sports complex management, youth leagues and web based services.

• Responsibilities Include

• • Manage registrations, collection and tracking of payments, awards, field allocations and communications to event staff.
  • Assist in the promotion and marketing of the events.

• Prepare and maintain baseball fields at West Chester Baseball Complex and others that we manage. This includes field lining, mowing, dragging of fields and various field/park maintenance duties.

• • Manage logistics and organization of the event, staff, officials, game schedules and serve as a Site Manager during the event.

• Skills Needed
  • Well organized and self motivated.
  • Have a strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to help with a variety of programs, tasks and duties.
  • Sports management background preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds; must have drivers license and access to a vehicle.

Time Frame for Internship

The term of the Spring internship would be early April - mid July with an average of 20 - 30 hours per week during that period. The actual schedule will be event dependent. Intern must be available to work nights and weekends during the spring.

Compensation

This is a paid position. No other benefits are provided.
