| POSITION:   Substitute Construction Instructor

| LOCATION:  Fairfield Township Campus, D Russel Lee Building

| GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

This instructor will teach Construction courses for high school students in Grades 11 – 12 and will be responsible for facilitating hands-on, project-based learning for students.

Resources and lesson plans will be provided.

The assignment is expected to run from late November 2023 through early January 2024.  Additionally, there is the opportunity for paid time ahead of the official start of the assignment to shadow the full-time teacher and prepare for this assignment.

| QUALIFICATIONS:

• Appropriate substitute or teacher licensure/certification through the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) or ability to obtain proper licensure;
• Working knowledge of construction topics such as safety, construction math, measurement, use of hand and power tools, reading site plans, framing, etc.;
• Ability to facilitate hands-on, project-based learning for students;
• Willingness/ability to work with students, teachers and administrators as a team member;
• Effective and demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills;
• State-issued identification card with photograph;
• History of strong work record, including good job attendance; and
• Acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Board Policy.

| DAILY RATE:    $190 per day
