Description
The Technical Sales Trainee will assist with managing existing accounts, developing new business, and providing technical support to Valco Melton customers in the Americas from our corporate office in Cincinnati, OH. All work will be conducted under the supervision and mentorship of the relevant Sales Manager.
Job Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and grow existing accounts.
- Research and identify potential customers for products and services.
- Promote the Valco Melton product line across all industries with the assistance of Valco Melton's corporate resources.
- Provide technical support to our customers with Electrical/Mechanical ability.
- Maintain a SalesForce CRM database.
- Implement corporate sales & marketing campaigns, attend trade show events.
- Travel within the Americas as required.
- Work closely with Engineering, Customer Service and Technical Service to provide our customer with excellent support at all levels.
- Self-starter, team player, positive working attitude.
Skill Requirements:
- Possess a strong technical sales ability or background.
- A 4-year B.S. degree or 3-year Applied Technology degree.
- Effectively communicate, present, and demonstrate the product solutions of the corporation.
- Provide competent technical and installation support when required.
- Effectively interact and sell at all levels of a corporation from the CEO/President to the maintenance shop.
- Aptitude for technical skills (electrical/mechanical).
- Experience selling to manufacturer-based companies.
- Ability to work at a high level without daily supervision.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft computer software and iOS devices.
- Strive to consistently meet or exceed quota.
- Great with people in person and on the phone – if customers like you they equally will buy from you.
