Description
Qualifications:
- CDL's are required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must not have any DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years
- No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years
- Must successfully pass pre-employment testing
Responsibilities:
- Operate truck in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations and company policies
- Provide waste removal services to customers on assigned route(s) by emptying waste collection trash cans into truck and hauling to landfill
- Replace trash cans neatly at the curb or designed area
- Clean up spills and overflows
- Maintain and update drivers log sheets
- Professional interactions with internal and external customers
- Maintain a clean truck
- Must be able to work well with a map and to read route directions
- Pre and Post trip inspections for waste collection trucks
- Understanding active and cut off sheets for route customers
- Other duties as assigned
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to extreme weather conditions
- Exposure to residential and commercial waste
- Possible exposure to high traffic conditions while outside of the vehicle
Benefits:
- Health insurance, per employee, will be paid in full except for $25
- 1 week (5 days) paid vacation starts after one year of employment, 2 weeks(10 days) paid vacation after the second full year of employment
- 3 holidays paid time in a half (chosen at the beginning of the year)
- Other: Quarterly bonuses based upon attendance
Payday is weekly.
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Monday-Friday 8 hour shift schedule, with overtime opportunities.

Job Requirements
Requirements:
Ability to read and understand a map
Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling and climbing)
General knowledge of mechanics of trucks
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Good written and communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers
Waste or recycling experience, a plus
Additional skills may be required to perform additional task(s) specific to work location, department or line business
