Welder

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Follow direction of both team leader & visual aids

Read and interpret work orders & blueprints

Understand and hold tolerance with tape measure & calipers

Use of welding & machine fixtures

Setup and operation of manual & automated saws

Setup and operation of manual & robotic welding systems {hard wire mig / tig}

Setup and operation of manual mills & drill press’s

Setup and operation of tube bender & punch press

Complete fabrication of {but not limited to} mounts & brackets

Taking part in the lean improvement program {promoting continuous improvement}

Daily data entry for measures

Performs Quality Checks

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent
Good math skills
Basic computer knowledge {data entry}
Ability to achieve & maintain a forklift operator’s license
Knowledge of welding procedures & equipment
Minimum 2 years experience in a welding shop environment {hard wire mig / tig}
Operation of a robotic welder a plus
Experience with lean improvement a plus
Must supply & maintain own hand tools
Able to lift 30 lbs on a consistent basis
