Workforce Services Administrative Assistant

GENERAL DESCRIPTION              

The Administrative Assistant reports to the Assistant Superintendent and will contribute to the efficient operation of the Workforce Services department in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of the district by supporting stakeholder engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of High School diploma required, Associate's degree preferred;
• Secretarial experience required;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including relational database program;
• Demonstrated ability to produce high quality letters, documents, reports;
• Demonstrated understanding of standard business procedures and protocols;
• Excellent keyboarding, typing, communication and customer services skills required (electronic, telephone, oral and written);
• Professional demeanor and appearance consistent with business acumen;
• Effective and demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and prioritization, and organizational skills;
• Willingness and ability to work as a team member;
• Valid drivers’ license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance;
• History of strong work record, including good job attendance; and
• Documented evidence of acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Board Policy.

STARTING DATE              As soon as possible

SALARY                                 From $57,750 – 75,352 based on experience

WORK YEAR                       260 days/year (12-month calendar); 8 hours/day
