Description
This position assists with the planning and supervision of the Campus Store Technology areas to include: Cellular Services, Computer Remediation/Repair, Repair Sales, and Customer Service.
Enforces/Coaches to University and Departmental Policies, procedures, work rules, performance standards, and codes of conduct at the Miami University Campus Store, with direct attention within specified working areas.
Service designated systems, provide ongoing guidance to the support team, and assist in the creation and success of a warranty and non-warranty hardware support center. Organize and maintain work tickets and provide excellent customer service and responds to customer inquiries.
Maintain a perpetual inventory process. Manages all deliveries of merchandise, maintains accurate inventory with the use of the software. Addresses facility and equipment issues within the units.
Work cooperatively with local support providers and other partner units in planning effective support. Communicate and offer support with materials that build awareness and understanding of future changes in processes and technology to relevant areas of oversight.
Coordinates on-the-job training, maintenance of all specified certifications, as well as customer service training for all direct reporting staff, and provides feedback.
Implements and directs special sales/events in conjunction with the General Technology Manager.
Reviews metrics against set targets and works with full time and student staff to adjust to meet those goals.
Will establish processes and procedures for daily activities and be responsible for holding staff to these standards.
Will need to be knowledgeable to be able to direct staff and customers to solutions relative to varied situations for hardware, software, cellular and in general purchasing situations. Can guide and direct special orders and address concerns for all departments supervised.
Lifting and moving of merchandise no more than 50 lbs
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
An Associates Degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience of 1-3 years.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, retail and supervisory experience, customer services skills, ability to work independently and make decisions, and ability to provide leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree - IT, Business Administration or Management
