Carpenter/Furniture Fabricator

Hamilton Casework Solutions, a division of Workstream, Inc., is a leading manufacturer of application specific healthcare, office, and mailroom furniture and casework. We are currently seeking experienced Carpenter/Furniture Fabricator applicants for our Fairfield, Ohio location. The Carpenter/Furniture Fabricator position requires the assembly of custom commercial grade furnishings. The skill set in this position requires structural grade to fine finish carpentry work. The carpenter will be asked to assist in company mockups, designs, proto-types and act as a resource for the manufacturability (both in methods and sensibilities) of original pieces of furnishing or fixtures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Fabricate and assemble custom commercial grade products.
Read and understand floor layouts and blueprints
Interact with engineering and project managers on how finished product is supposed to look and what are the requirements of use for the product.
Expected to work in the field at times, at customer sites, for the purposes of measurements and installation, as required by the Production Manager.
Work with advanced hand tools and use advanced assembly methods to complete production requirements.
Make recommendations to supervisor on advanced or unique construction methods along with tooling and supply requirements.
Engage in, when required, advanced training techniques (in house or off-site)

High school diploma or equivalent.
4 years of wood carpentry experience in a shop floor manufacturing environment or skilled commercial furniture remodel environment.
Good verbal communication skills.
