Description

Hamilton Casework Solutions, a leading manufacturer of application specific healthcare, office, and mailroom casework and furniture, is currently looking for an Inventory Coordinator. The Inventory Coordinator is a key role in implementing and maintaining an organized Kanban inventory system. He/she performs duties that facilitate the unloading of incoming raw materials, proper storage of raw materials, and the replenishment of shop floor supplies and raw materials, while providing regular checkpoints for material accuracy on orders.

The Essential Functions and Responsibilities are:

Unloads and stores all incoming raw materials and company supplies.
Replenishes shop floor material locations and bins.
Uses manual and motorized material handling equipment to unload, move, or store materials.
Keeps accurate tally of supplies issued and relieves computer inventory system of the supplies issued.
Maintains accurate and appropriate levels of stock items and reorder points through Kanban system
Performs cycle counts as required on stored inventory.
Plays an active role in semi-annual inventory counts.
Acts in the role of Buyer on a limited amount of raw material SKU’s as assigned or required.
Works as a capable backup to a Buyer 1.
Expected to contribute to continuous improvement of inventory management through clearly communicated goals

Job Requirements

Experience with Kanban systems.
Above standard knowledge of Syteline software knowledge or similar ERP system.
Knowledge of PC and Microsoft applications.
Knowledge of raw materials used in a manufacturing facility, preferably a wood shop.
Previous forklift operator certification.
Working knowledge of company vendors.
Good verbal communication skills.
2 years of experience as a Material Handler or equivalent experience.
High school diploma or GED required..
