HVAC/BUILDING MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

This is a responsible technical job involving the operation of maintenance, cleaning, and repair of municipal buildings and mechanical systems. Work involves all facets of building maintenance including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, general building repair, painting and cleaning. HVAC work is heavily emphasized with this position. Work is performed under general supervision of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor with some latitude for discretion and independent judgment.
Position requires the necessary physical condition to perform considerable physical labor over a sustained period of time primarily outdoors; standing, walking, bending, and carrying heavyweight items (50-75 pounds) such as tools, equipment, and supplies.

The City of Middletown is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of HVAC/Building Maintenance Technician. Work involves all facets of building maintenance including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, general building repair, painting and cleaning. Experience in hydraulics, HVAC, electrical, mechanical and electro-mechanical work or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Salary Range: $40,055 to $52,791 with excellent benefits.
