Description
Hamilton Casework Solutions, a division of Workstream, Inc., is currently seeking experienced 2nd Shift CNC Boring Operators for our Fairfield, Ohio location. This position offers an excellent compensation and benefit package including Medical, Dental, Disability, 401K, and Life Insurance.
JOB SUMMARY
The CNC Boring Operator sets up and operates one or more computer numeric controlled boring machines to produce quality product of specified dimensions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITES
Level One:
Reads cut lists to determine what parts are to be drilled.
Enters drilling programs into at least 1 CNC boring computer system.
Drills wood to specified dimensions and stacks appropriately for next process.
Understands and follows daily color coded production schematic.
Works to a production schedule.
Produces required work in the time planned.
Inspects each product produced to ensure it meets HCS’s quality standard. When necessary, makes needed adjustments or notifies supervisor about sub-standard quality.
Calls designated resource, maintenance, or plant manager to trouble shoot machine malfunctions.
Makes routine tooling changes with assistance.
Keeps machine and work area clean and free of clutter.
Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
Does all of the above in a manner that meets company safety requirements including, but not limited to, wearing safety glasses and hearing protection and only operating machine while guarding is in place.
Level Two (includes all from level one plus):
Enters drilling programs into at least 1 CNC boring computer system.
Diagnoses machine malfunctions.
Makes routine tooling changes without assistance.
Performs routine preventative maintenance.
With the assistance of shop floor leadership, is able to redirect work schedule due to material capacity or machine issues.
Proficiently operates all company CNC boring equipment.
Level Three (includes all from level one and two plus):
Enters drilling programs into all CNC boring computer system.
Assists maintenance team with machine repair.
Makes all tooling changes and adjustments without the assistance of shop floor leadership or maintenance.
Redirects work schedule independently due to material, capacity, or machine issues.

Job Requirements
Has basic computer knowledge and keyboard skills.
Has ability to read engineering drawings.
Knows how to read a tape measure.
Knows all standard material colors and thickness.
Level 1 Boring Machine Operator has met the minimum training period of 60 days.
Level 2 Boring Machine Operator has a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Level 3 Boring Machine Operator has a minimum of 3 years of experience.
