Material Handler

• Support Production
  • Monitor job schedule and make sure parts are received and in their proper locations for technicians to begin assembly tasks on time
  • Assist in expediting parts when required to complete assembly work
  • Prepare shipments (packaging) for equipment
  • Unload incoming and load outgoing shipments
  • Uncrate incoming shipments and stage for assembly
  • Assist technicians with lifting and positioning during assembly when required
• Support Parts Department
  • Receiving incoming shipments or returns in ERP and place in proper warehouse location
  • Pick spare parts from warehouse using packing slips and prepare shipments to customers using boxes, skids or crates
  • Validate shipments in ERP (internal and external customers)
  • Prepare electronic components prior to shipment (Pendants, Speed Drives, etc.)
  • Assemble kits as required to maintain stock levels (SAKIT)
  • Organize bulk returns to France (once a month)
  • Participate in on-call program requiring on-demand support for parts shipments during weekends (rotating schedule)

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Forklift experience required
• Basic computer skills
• Competency with typical hand and power tools used in building custom packaging
• Must be able to work out of corporate location of Warrendale; 8a.m.-5p.m. weekdays

• Organized and methodical

• Ability to work unsupervised
• Self-starter with sense of urgency
• Remain flexible in job duties as the company continues to develop

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
• Ability to lift 70lbs or more on a regular basis.
