Accountability Objectives
A Quality Assurance Intern strives to support the resolution of any issues, internally and externally, in a timely fashion. This role is for 12-18 months as the Team Member learns and develop skills towards a Quality Assurance Specialist role. A Specialist must develop, implement, and follow up on all countermeasures put into place.
Principal Responsibilities and Authority
- Must ensure a timely response to all customers for countermeasures (Toyota per SQAM requirements)
- Investigate and resolve root cause of all QPR and internal problems with parts
- Initiate and follow up sorting for internal and external complaints
- Develop procedures, instructions, and audits
- Suport trial & HVPT per Toyota SQAM requirements
- Verify condition changes or document changes
- Track all defects found during 100% inspection on a daily basis
- Support with supplier issues
- Create reports on nonconforming material received, supplies, and parts
- Ensure all gauging tools are in specifications
- Ensure calibration tests and repairs to fixtures are done in a timely manner

Reports and is accountable to the QA Manager/ Asst. Manager

External contacts: Customers and Suppliers
Performance Measurements
- Submit countermeasure for customer claims in less than 15 days
- Prevent reoccurrences claims be creating effective countermeasures (target 0 reoccurrences)
Experience, Education, and Skill Requirements
Must have high school diploma or G.E.D
Proficiency with various computer applications including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access)
Requires experience with general office equipment (copier, fax, scanner, etc.)
Must be customer oriented and have an eye for detail
Must have problem-solving skills
Willingness to work overtime and travel as necessary
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 25lbs
Must be able to type and use computer sometimes 100% of the day
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend over up to 100% of the day
Working Conditions
Exposed to heat during the summer months and cold during winter months.
Safety glasses, steel toe shoes, and hearing protection are required at all times while on manufacturing floor
Some exposure to processing oils from materials and equiptment.
Exposure to upper noise levels.
